I am cracking up watching Brit Hume today. They are discussing Kerry's new position on Iraq and NOT ONE OF THEM can agree on what it is. If savvy political commentators are so confused, what must the electorate be feeling? This is hilarious. And I must say, Mara (NPR token liberal), looks like she has seen a ghost. She is chalk white at the prospect of Kerry trying to defend himself tomorrow night. Maybe she needs some of Kerry's bronzer. Anyone else see this?
Kerry's position is that Kerry has a position, and don't you dare question his positionitism.
Thinking exactly the same things - they can't even figure out where he stands how is the average Joe going to figure it out? They have been arguing for weeks over exactly what Kerry's position is on Iraq.
I just made a comment on another post about this, I am still laughing. It brought back memories of Lou Costello's "Who's on First' the way the panel was going round and round on Kerry's positions.
If Kerry is this confused on war, imagine how he is on simpler issues...
Look, we are fighting Kerry, we are fighting the FRAUD MACHINE..... that's where our real war resides.
Yes, I saw that. I was LOL too. At the end, they all agreed that this is not good for Kerry. Mara was none too happy about it, either.
They were trying to pick between flipper and flopper when along came flapper.
It ended with no one knowing how Kerry could defend flapper now.
Yes!!! My son and I were sitting here cracking up!! There you have FOUR adults sounding totally confused and baffled- he said this, no, but he meant that, but, but, but no, no, what he said last summer...
It was hilarious! I LOVE Brit Hume.
Was wondering today if Mara might be yet another 'unpaid advisor' to Kerry; guess we'll find out tomorrow, if Kerry starts coughing up a lung every time Bush talks!
Mara was exasperated and seemed sorry to be stuck with the position of defending Kerry. Even she couldn't make heads or tails out of it. It was a great segment.
