1. You asked, in 1973, "How do you ask a man to be the last to die for a mistake?" The same question can be posed to you, Mr. Kerry. You have repeatedly called the war in Iraq a "mistake," and "the wrong war, in the wrong place, at the wrong time." So how, as Commander-in-Chief could you have ANY credibility with our troops, boost morale AT ALL, if you are asking them to fight and die for what their President has termed a "mistake"?
2. You say you will bring "allies to the table." What allies, specifically? France and Germany have already said they will not go into Iraq, Britain, Poland, and Italy are already there, Spain has withdrawn and will not likely return, and the 30 other countries involved you have insulted by claiming they were coerced and have provided paltry numbers ("only 100 troops"). How can you rebuild or retain credibility with our allies if you insult the contributions they have made? 100 troops is still 100 more than we would have otherwise (and is a bit hypocritical, since you say we need more forces on the ground). If those allies feel that you don't appreciate or respect the commitments they have made, what is to keep them in Iraq? I mean, it's only "100 troops," so should they pull out, it's not a big loss, right?
Emailing to friends right now..thanks
Querry's logic only makes sense to lib'rals. Don't try to figure it out or your head'll explode.
