It's already filled with oil, you just plug it in and the oil is electrically heated. The oil doesn't burn so you never have to replace it.

Doh! For some reason I had heating oil on my mind. BTW the furnace runs on natural gas.

Good morning!

I didn't listen to much of the debate last night (should be able to listen to a little more tonight), but from what little I heard, I thought Cheney did a great job!

We had a hard frost this morning...and I still don't have bulbs in the ground. I sure hope I didn't miss the deadline again! Tonight I have to pick yet ANOTHER new spot and hope it's diggable. Is that a word? I may also scoop out the gravel in my original spot and fill the hole with soil. Dunno what I'll do with the gravel, though. Chuck it down the hill behind the house, I guess.

ohfercryinoutloud...nobody told me we were movin'...where's muh room?

In other news...turns out muh Monday experience was a bit more of a mini-drama than I knew. I was really out of it, but I knew my neighbor picked me up instead of my brother-in-law. Apparently after I was already under wife found out they didn't want me alone at all and asked b-i-l to pick me up a little later. He completely bailed because he had to be somewhere at 3:00 p.m. (I was ready to go at 1:00). Anyway, neighbor stepped in and brought me home. B-i-l hasn't even acknowledged it, even though wife spent 30 minutes of her class time arranging for back up and almost had to cancel a class...

And thus, our continued frustration in caring for Nana. Five siblings and assorted spouses. We're the only dependable ones...and that's a little scary.

Wife will be talking to the rehab center today. SWorker said that they can only keep her until they've taken her as far as they can with therapy. I'm thinkin' if she can't get out of bed by herself they ain't takin' her far enough...we'll see.

And, while I'm mostly better, I'm still waking up 1-2 times a night with the cough. Wife hasn't quite got the hint that saying "drink some hot tea" isn't helpful when I can't breathe...

Oddly though, I'm in decent spirts today...didn't see all of the debate but loved it when Cheney said "the first time I've met you was on this stage tonite." Scuse the graphical nature of the comment, but as a friend of mine used to say, Edwards is "slicker than snot on a doorknob..."

Ewwww!

Sorry 'bout the continuing mini-dramas. The siblings really need to grow up, already! Geesh...

Morning! Most people who don't remember how they got home are half your age.

Yep, that's the sort of scenery I get every day!

Gosh, I love it here...at least from a visual perspective!

We had a good frost last night...it was freezing this morning, but sooo pretty!

Is it more disconcerting that I don't know how I got home or that I didn't know who was taking me home?

It was like last call. I didn't CARE who was taking me home...

I miss the pretty leaves. They're mostly shades of gold and orange here, very few reds or purples.

You think I would trust any dentist that would have a Kerry button in his office? Ha! These guys are further to the right than me.
