What would a Kerry victory mean for Tony Blair and all heads of State that supported us in Iraq? The effect would be devasting. If Kerry's view that going into Iraq was a "catastrophic blunder" is ratified by a majority of the US population Tony Blair's goverment will likely fall. At the very least his Labour Party would elect a new leader to work out the messy details of extracating themselves from "the blunder". Of course Kerry's view that France and Germany would be persuaded to help is pure folly so the result would be just the opposite of what he promises..rather than more allies..we would have fewer. But just as devasting would be the precedent. What future Prime Minister would commit his country's blood and fortune to such a fickle ally. Could any future president go to anyone and say.."We have a difficult task,,we need your help." A Kerry election would not only pull the rug out from our military, our allies in Iraq and our allies around the world. The French would just rejoice that Bush paid the price for his "blunder" and that the verdict was delivered by the American people. Would they help..oh no..they want us to pay a high price. Kerry victory means greater isolation and result in just the opposite of what he claims..that he can get more help than Bush. More help for a "blunder"? No way.. It is not just for the sake of this alliance that America should support the President but for all future alliances...
STOP IT NOW! That is not going to happen.

MSNBC BREAKING NEWS: RUSSIANS MOVED EXPLOSIVES
MSNBC
Posted on 10/27/2004 7:58:47 PM PDT by MichaelTN04
Just saw on MSNBC Scarborough Country, Pat Buchanan said that the Wash Times is set to report that Russian Troops helped move the explosives and weapons to Syria before the invasion...
What is with these new FReepers?
I smell a troll....
There is an amazing number of not-so-subtle negative posters coming on board trying to suppress our turnout by giving the false impression Kerry even has a chance.
Kerry no longer holds the majority of women.
Kerry no longer holds even 90% of the black vote.
Kerry no longer holds even HAWAII, a state which voted for Gore unequivocally in 2000 and has a liberal tradition going back to its initial statehood.
We don't even need to depress DU turnout. So we'll get our payback come election night, don't you worry. Some of us have had a DU login for months, just waiting, so that we can use it just ONCE during the celebration.
And please, Rats, PLEASE, if you decide to get violent over the results, that you should protest by rioting, PLEASE--make sure you do it in my neighborhood. I have been itching so long to legally use force on folks who truly deserve it. Even bought extra ammo in case.
Ditto!
By addressing me along with the poster of this article (Westpole), are you implying that I too am a troll? I don't think my comment indicated any such thing, I told him/her to cut it out. Please state your intentions.
Friends..please read what I wrote..I said Kerry victory would be grave...the article was not attempting to predict I was showing what would happen to our alliances if Kerry got elected..we would have fewer allies not more. Who thinks this is negative comment for Bush?
If true it should come as no surprise. But I think Putin has a different outlook on the situation at this point.
But I still don't trust him.
Oh, not at all, I am sorry if I gave you that impression. I meant merely to bolster your spirits. You seemed quite annoyed, and I was hoping to mollify any anxiety this troll might have caused.
After Russia had two planes blown up and the school children slaughtered, the last thing Putin and the Russians need is for Kerry to be elected.
Kerry is a friend of Islamofascists and would enable them from the Kosovo to Iran.
I think your article has suspicious timing. We'll see where you fall on November 3.
OK, thanks! (I can't stand to be flamed! -- I know, if you can't stand it, you shouldn't be here... but that's just how I am.)
No argument here. I just wonder what will happen next. Putin better do something against muslim crackpots or he may be unelected in Russia.
It will be very interesting to see how Putin handles himself and his Islamofascist problem.
We will both look forward to it, then.
Here's what I meant: This just is not the time for lots of "what if's", and that story was full of them to the point of tempting us to (a) assume the premise as a reality and then (b) spend our time discussing it. This is the time to be putting all our efforts into preventing such a horror. That's all. So, to repeat myself (kindly), please stop that.
It certainly will. On that that note I bid you good night.
