Two inmates now vote for Bush! (Yes, this is a Vanity thread.)

I was arrested Wednesday night. I missed a whole day of work and I also missed a whole day of FReepin'.
Conroe is a lovely city. Nice and windy, for those of us who wear vests. (You CHL holders know what I mean.)
During my initial interrogation, I was asked (as another detainee said something like: "ARRGHTPHTH!") if I was suicidal. My reply was: "Of course not! I'm a Republican. Only Howard Dean here thinks like that."
That statement got a round of chuckles.
Later, my fellow detainees began to question me about my views.
As you could expect, I gave it to them!
The result is: Two more (non-felon) votes for Straight Ticket GOP!
Even in jail, Our Elephant can rule.

I'm glad you have paid your debt to society and I hope you have learned a good lesson. Chuck Coulson has a helpful website for ex-cons if you need it.
And thanks for spreading the word.
To: San Jacinto
I've yet to be convicted of anything and as I read the law, it's a Class C.
I am not among your "ex-cons", thank you.

Today I plead guilty to a crime I did not commit.
For two years, they reset this case over and over. On Monday, I was given a choice:
- Plead guilty to a Class C misdemeanor. (It was a Class B)
- Endure more endless resets.
Given the devastating financial cost of continuing, I chose to escape tyranny.
What a fun judicial system we have. Hanoi comes to mind.

Good Grief!!! Where did this happen, you have the right to a speedy trial, if the DA was using delays and attorney expenses against you to force a conviction you have had you Constitutional rights violated. You should start looking for a civil attorney (look outside of your county who doesn't fear the DA or the courts) who will work on contingency a sue the hell out of the county.

You need to restore your profile page.
I was really praying for you. It may not be what you or I would call pretty, or perfect, but you are out.
I went through something like this back in July; not a legal problem, but a grinding trial just like this that left a real bad taste in my mouth, and a new definition of obediance to the One who "orders the steps of a good man." [Psalms 37:23]

You need to restore your profile page. No can do. That's yours, as agreed.
The "collateral damage" of this situation has already been done and cannot be overcome. That's what defeated me, not this silly CHL case.
Thank you very much for your prayers.
Stay cool, Bud.
To: Michael Goldsberry
I contacted a retired NYPD cop I have known for years, because of a quote he used as his sig line for a number of years. I couldn't find it on any of his old emails. It came to mind because of your situation.
"... If I make no complaint of the pain it is because knights-errant are not permitted to complain of any wound, even though their bowels be coming out through it..." --Don Quixote
We can say, been there, done that.
Never surrender.
