Nutjob DUers REFUSE to accept reality

Posted on 11/05/2004 6:42:04 PM PST by Bones75

They used to worry me, but now that they have been completely marginalized I actually feel bad for them. I guess this is what happens when you stay inside a circle of people just like you and refuse to even look at the outside world. The madness just feeds on itself.

You'd think they would have learned from this. They absolutely REFUSE to accept any responsibility. They are still just ranting, and raving blaming everybody but themselves.

Screaming about voter fraud, which there was none of, because it is inconceivable to them that so many people could disagree with them. Again, that's what happens in a "closed loop" that doesn't see beyond itself.

Bleating about how "democracy failed" when it worked just fine but the results were not to their liking. If Kerry won, you think you'd hear a single peep about voter fraud from the left? There was no voter fraud, you desperate LOSERS!

Lets see, both campaigns vocalized their message for several months prior, then people went to the ballot box and voted. The candidate with the most votes won the office. That looks a lot like democracy to me.

I guess I am a little dissapointed that, in light of their stunning and specatular defeat, they have done ZERO introspection to try and figure out what may have happened, and instead have just gone on psychoitc rants about the blue states seceding and them all moving to Canada. (BYE!) "Why on Earth were we not successful driving our nanny-government viewpoint down everybody's throat?.. we are the enlightened ones! (sniffle).."

Claiming everyone is stupid. Their problem is not that people are stupid, it's that people are smart.

They still don't realize anything they've done in this campaign was wrong.. the forged documents.. the lost explosives story they attempted to hold and then drop right before the election.. the UNBELEIVABLY venomous and deceitful stories, editorials, newcasts... these people actually believe that they just didn't do ENOUGH of that stuff!! If only they'd done MORE! (slapping forehead)

If we'd only made 10 Farenheit 9/11's.. THEN we would've won.

I checked in there (DU) from time to time throughout lrecent days. The absolute meltdown there has been nothing short of spectacular.

What little sympathy I would have had for them at all was erased by the incredible racist, hateful vitriol I saw.

I knew things would go Code Red over there if Bush won, but because of the way it went down, and the popular vote numbers, etc., it was far more insane than I had ever envisioned.

They were litteraly eating each other alive Wednseday.

I can't believe after the spanking they just got, they STILL do not get it. They still seem to believe that a) Diebold and Karl Rove flew over the polling places in a helicpter with a transmitter beaming votes for Bush into the machines (or other such conspiracy theories) b) The country is just uninformed redneck hicks, who just aren't as smart and enlightened or as compassionate as liberals. c) The "religious fundies" received their "calling from Jesus" to go and vote for God's chosen son, George W Bush.

The list goes on and on...

The real answer is much more simple. Libs are you listening? Look at the popular vote, and look at the Senate races in combination with that. Your school of thought has been REJECTED by the American people.

Most of the people are *plenty* informed, don't you worry. It's just that all the lies and distortions you put forth about GWB are a) not true, and b) smack of deperation and having nothing else to run on, and the people could see through that.

You think if only more people saw F911!!! If only Karl Rove wouldn't have planted those forged documents on Dan rather.. if only we SCREAMED louder and raised more hell, we would have won. If only we could tie people to a bench and force them to listen to Air America 26 hours a day.

But what you don't see is that the American people have HEARD the liberal argument, loud and clear. They have been bombarded with it 24/7 for months, in newspapers, on radio, on television. They have heard your talking points repeatedly, and they REJECTED them. The problem is not that your message did not get out, it did get out just fine. The problem is your message is BULLSHIT and obviously people realized that and voted accordingly.

Is calling the majority of the country stupid and ignorant how you plan to garner support?

This could turn out to be the best thing for the Democratic party. You have to completely destroy something to rebuild it sometimes. From the ground up. Take this defeat and look at it, look hard. This is an opportunity to rebuild and get the D party back in touch with the people, you have 4 years to do it, and here is a hint.. think "center".."center center center" if you ever want to have any power in America.

"Um. well. The other guys SUCKS! (He drinks and picks his nose).. hmpf!" Just isn't going to win you any elections.

Not liking GWB is not the problem. Anyone is free to not like him. I personally do like him a lot, but even I don't agree with him on everything. It's all in how you conduct yourself. But I guess this message is lost on them. The are gonna ride this "Bush is Hitler" train all the way to the laaaaaast station. They've gone too far from home to ever get back.

you have 4 years to do it

Personally, I think it'll take a LOT longer given the power of BOTH the west coast lunatic fringers and the Northeastern elite. It'll take a long time and an incremental change (along with attrition from retirement and election losses) to get back in step.

I particularly like the threads where the blue state DUmmies are calling for boycotts, civil war, ect, against the red states. It looks like there might be irreversible rift between blue state and red state DUers for now on...

They (DU'ers) have been spoiled by and still are the bastard step-children of Bill and Hillary Clinton. If ever there was an icon of not accepting responsibility and pandering to Hollywood, the Mecca of DU, it was the Clinton admin who provided the teat to nourish those whack jobs. They are withering on the vine, lashing out and can't seem to put together a rational sentence. It's damn fun to watch too.

I lurked for awhile today over at DU. Here is their case for why they are certain the election was stolen. Ya ready for this!
1. The exit polls! They showed Kerry was winning! That means Republican must have committed fraud. (OR...the exit polls themselves were a fraudulent attempt to surpress Republican voter turn out. Guess it didn't work)
2. Bush's approval rating is around 48%. No incumbent has ever been elected with it below 50% (NOPE. I'm pretty sure it's been between 50 to 53% for awhile now)
3. Iraq is the most unpopular war EVER! (Wars are never popular, but they can be necessary. We are fighting for the oppressed Iraqi people and our own security. Your kids will thank us, and so will theirs. They already are!)
4. Undecided and late deciders always break for the challenger! (WHO IN THE HECK MADE THAT UP!!!!! Historically, it's 50/50 o for the incumbent)
5. Youth Vote! They couldn't be detected in the polls because they use cell phones. That should have givin Kerry a few percentage points. It's a Republican lie that they didn't show up! (SORRY! They ain't comin. Maybe those invisibilty providing cell phones are the cause. By the way, I use a cell phone. I'll be thirty-four tomorrow. Gues I'm not a youth voter)
6. Large voter turnout! Everybody knows that it's good for the Democrats! (NOT ANYMORE)

There was one other, can't remember what it was, only that it was as stupid as these six. Anyhow, the DUers are trying their best to make a case for fraud based on these reasons.....WHATEVER

You're right...

I guess the "youth vote" didn't realize that giving a candidate a "shoutout" or "much props" doesn't count the same as going down to the polls and voting.

Feed the salad to the cattle, then have a BBQ.
