Sort of......Heh heh heh......
Tell me what exactly do they have to do and I''ll give you a reasonable time frame....
Promise.
:-)
Anytime! We do country cooking around here. I was fortunate enough to have been required to take home economics in school and I was in 4-H for most of grade school and some of high school. I was blessed through the patience of ladies who were willing to open their homes to a dozen 9 year old girls and show them how to cook. I also had to help my mother prepare large meals to take to the fields to feed the men at an early age.
In 4-H and home ec I learned to make real sponge cakes and angel food cakes. Muffins without tunnels and flakely light biscuits. Popovers, turnovers, and gravy. I didn't realize at the time how well that training would serve me. That's often the way it is when we're younger though.
Pineapple upside down cake.....yummy!
I love Deer Valley! (I especially love Midway) right now it's a little better since we got some fresh new snow around here in most of, if not all, the resorts.
Next time you come to visit during the winter or such, I recommend Brian Head Skii Resort...It's remote, absolutely beautiful view, (because it's way up in the mountains and 45 minutes from Cedar City) they recieve new snow literally every week, and it's usually not too busy all year round.
How old is your daughter?
Our sons have no conception of someone their age who actually knows how to cook.
I agree...even though (lol) he can be stubborn at times 8-)
Country ham and biscuits sandwiches, b-b-q little smokies, tea sandwiches, lump crab cocktails, relish tray with curry dip, rye bread and dill dip, pickled eggs, banana bread, Christmas cookies and punch.
We went to a place for dinner (expensive) called the Riverhorse in Park city. They had an older gent with a guitar playing and singing. He was unbelievably good, had a wonderful voice and knowledge of different singers songs.
Yea Yea Yea .... but we all know it's really Nully's Fault
Merry Christmas Philly girl!
Ane yes....it's Nully's fault.......He is, after all, the default......
That's all?
Have a wonderful time everyone.
Are ya all ready for Santa tonight?
I'm not .. just remembered I forget to pick up Birthday cards for my MIL and Mike's niece ... their birthdays fall on Christmas too
Oh crap .. one of the VI's just stopped by for a gif for Mike .. guess I gotta get another present
Daughter is 19. She's developed more of an appreciation for cooking since she's gone to college. But she has never to my knowlege, made a meringue or an angel food cake. She's pretty good with basics though.
Licking my chops here. I've also had a pineapple stuffing dish that's wonderful too. Next year I have to keep that one in mind.
I haven't heard of that place, but it does sound good! (considering it's in Park City) I pretty much haven't had the time to visit resorts or snowboard or anything of the sort during these past two years!
Hi all
Yes, Gavin's foot was broken badly and he spent 3 full weeks in a German hospital. After next Tuesday he will be free to come to the US for about 3 weeks of recovery and then return to his base in Germany for another operation and physical therapy. He is thinking about going to Washington to stay with relatives there instead of coming to Texas --- that way he can see his aunt (my sister, Dana) who is in very bad condition with her cancer and complications now.
I don't have a working vehicle here so he would be stuck at home - I am trying to make enough $ to buy any running legal car to get me back and forth to work.
Things get worse every year instead of better.
