When the average person opens up a dictionary in their mind and looks up the word Muslim--poof- Ososma Bin ladins Picture pops up next to it.
Well I hate to tell you the average American never even heard word Muslim or Islam .
Let alone had an inkling o f an idea what a Muslim was till we learned about it on TV Sept 11.
Personally I don't think that September 11th is a good evangelist tool, for Islam.
Doesn't exactly make me want to become one, or know anything about that religion.
I made everyone in America now knows about Muslim and Islam.
What do you think?
Also with Zacoward guy in Iraq is making the Mosques look like explosives storage areas not houses of prayer? Now we will say a mosque is a place terrorist store weapons.
Making the eyes watching think the wrong things about Islam. We didn't even know the dirty guy called Arafat was a Muslim.
Just thought he looked like a homeless guy than need a new set of clothes.
America is a basically secular country but we are learning about world religion on the news drama and the Arab language too.
I personally didn't learn about Islam till I married the Turk. I had never know anything about it.
Right when my Dad said "We shouldn't even let one of them in our country" as he walked me down the isle to marry the Turk.
I thought middle east people were buddist what ever that is or something.

I think this is humorous and good for Friday; hopefully it is not true that you had not heard of Muslim or Islam before 9/11, it makes me fear for my social security

"America is a basically secular country but we are learning about world religion on the news drama and the Arab language too."
Tell that to the muslims who chanted "death to the USA and death to Israel" in the streets of Detroit a few days back.

We didn't even know the dirty guy called Arafat was a Muslim. I thought he was a lapsed Episcopalean who became a Buddhist and then got AIDS from Greeking a Turk.

"Well I hate to tell you the average American..."
What'd ya mean "average American"? Can't you just say "most" Americans instead? The term average connotates a certain degree of mediocrity, and let me just say that as an "average" American, there ain't nothing mediocre about any of us. And on the same note, what does the phrase "the liberal elite" or "the Hollywood elite" refer to? I hear this so often on TV, radio, etc... Frankly, there ain't anything elite about liberalism nor the Hollywood loonies.

You must be a troll. If you'd never heard of a Muslim or Islam before 9/11/2001, then you should open more books, for your ignorance is showing. I knew about them when I was a kid, some years before Cat Stevens decided to convert.
