Yeah, and what was the deal with Teddy Roosevelt and those bears? Sounds pretty sick to me.

That reminds me of this joke...

A baby seal walks into bar.

What drives so many of our academics to be full of s..t and project early 21st century insanity back on former centuries. Most of this is simply verbose psychobabble with a propagandistic point to make.

That is the irony I suppose. Those that wish so much not to be singled out for their behaviors sexual or otherwise seem all the more to have a need to be defined by those behaviors. I agree the world is sick and the social structure is becoming one that fosters the persistance of the sickness.

Lincoln was not gay. In fact, he suffered from what they used to call "melancholia."

Oh.....the writer doesn't mean "gay" like "happy" but "gay" like......oh.

Then the answer is definitely yes -- Lincoln was a homosexual. Along with Ruth and Naomi, David and Jonathan, Jesus and "disciple whom he loved," and St. Paul, that whole "thorn in the flesh" thing. And, lest I forget -- the Three Stooges. As my wife pointed out while we were watching them tonight, they always slept together. Even in the episodes in which they were married (to women, that is) the boys always slept together. Hmmm....that can mean only one thing, right?

The problem with this "historian" and others like him is that they have one-track minds. And diseased ones, too. They cannot even imagine strong friendships, even love, between men without those men winding up in the sack. And they cannot imagine people sharing a bed together without there being sex involved, even though that was very common not so long ago, and it was even common for travelers to share beds with strangers if there were no other accomodations in a town. Now, I'm sure that this guy has wound up in bed with strangers countless times, but....

It's pathetic that this kind of intellectual (and it's a stretch to use that word) wanking ever sees a printed page.

Which includes their belief that sodomizing young boys is not gay, and that only the "bottom" is gay?

Exactly my point. Only back then it was refered to as "forking".

I heard Lincoln had an affair with Alexander.
Oliver Stone could make another porn movie about it.

The entire Union Army was gay since they came from the cold North where spooning to keep warm was commonplace.

I'm from the cold North, and I can attest to the fact that spooning would qualify as gay. Given the choice, I think 97% of us guys would choose frostbite.

Hilarious posts. Reminds me of Magic Johnson and his reputation for come-from-behind wins.

Hitler was not only GAY he played the SWINETTE.

That is a musical instrument made by stretching a Rubberband across a pigs ass and squeezing the Pig, thus causing the pig to squeal and pass gas across the rubber band making it vibrate at the same time!! Very Unique sound!! Tuning is very difficult!

"psychosis begets psychosis and as their politics which is indistinguishable from their sex lives with their hyper sexualized views and need for justification spreads like a disease coloring everything gay"

unfortunate, but true? now you get a bed-time story.

In the recession years in Los Angeles, 1992 or 1993, I was short on work and got a job from the newspaper to raise a crew and frame a 50,000 sq ft office building in Simi Valley. I started with a few of my guys and we proceeded to start the job. I posted a sign on the fence and hired anyone who could carry a hammer. My challenge was to figure out what they could do and use them in their capacity. Then, Denine arrived. Not to discriminate, I hired her. She had done some roofing and was pretty good with a saw and was a willing worker. I became infauated with her and she liked me so we spent a lot of time together. Problem is, most of that time was spent checking out the other girls and trying to decide if they were gay. It was the only thing on her mind. Who was gay. We went to the carnival and soon I met all of her friends and found out the intimate details of who was with who and who they just left, and so on. Then there were the history lessons. Which famous women were gay. Then, current events. Which public persons were actually gay, and how she knew. On and on it went. I became an expert on her version of the hidden gay subculture. I found out that Simi Valley is a hidden enclave of gay women, one of the most concentrated collections in the whole world. Now, I don't pretend to think any of this is true, but is was to her. Of course, she had been abused by her stepfather. She had tried men but they just were not for her. Now, I caution you that this was a young (20 something) gay woman. I do not think that she is still so focused on sex. I believe that all of us are hypercharged with sex as young adults, but gradually the focus of our lives moves on to other things. I hope this is true for gay men and women, because if it is not, then they are not progessing to a more mature and full life.

so when we read characterizations such as the one quoted above from your posting, we must understand that this might be true for a portion of the group discussed, but is probably not true for all, and in fact, might be a mischaracterization based on the bias of the person making the statement.

LOL

Really. I can't believe anyone even pays attention to the leftie-lieberals' "Was [picksomeonefamous]Gay?" blithering-of-the-week... it's just more proof they have no lives at all, that they spend their pitiful excuses for lives trying to "Out" some historical figure.

It's exactly the same thing as the potheads' going on and on about which Founding Father used what sort of dope. Yawn.

Exactly right. Every man should have at least one close confidant!

There is no more sense to this rationale they display in this article, to to think that grown women get together and have pillow fights and tickle each other. (sorry guys!) I for one resent their defaming our history and the great men and women in it.

Lincoln was gay. John Wilkes Booth was a spurned lover.
