There are auction services available. Those types of items sell very well at auctions.
ebay ebay ebay!!! or you can donate it all to my garage.
My bet is that somebody will come and get it for scrap, if nothing else.
FRmail me.
E-bay?
I may try to sell some of my father's tools and supplies that way. Never have used EBay before, but maybe worth a try.
Sell them. You can make a bunch of money on these things at something as simple as a garage sale. My mother died in April and we sold all of my deceased father's tools. Everybody will buy tools at garage sales. I was amazed.
garage sale? auction service? ebay? all of the above? Heck, list them here .. give Freepers first choice!!! I love my tools!!
I would imagine that a local auctioneer would be glad to help you sell it. I don't have any direct knowledge what the terms would be, I do see such sales advertised in the local paper. They would probably have a fair idea on what the asking price for such items would be and could probably contact interested parties that such a sale was taking place.
Auction ... Tools are valuable. With that many, it's probably worth it to hire a live auctioneer to handle it.
Put an ad in the local paper and free ad rags. You'd be surprised at how fast that stuff will go, especially if you're just giving it away.
There is at least one good size auction house in Joshua that I know of.
Tell where, I will come and get it. I live in Houston, have truck and trailer, I am serious.
You may want to contact these folks:
Liberty Tool Company
P.O. Box 346
Main St.
Liberty, ME 04949
(207) 589-4771
Fax (207) 589-3581
They are a seller of used tools and have a very large inventory. With a collection as large as the one you are describing, they may want to buy the whole lot.
Check Your FReepMail
Well, as for the tools and workshop items, you might think about E-Bay, or donating them to Goodwill or some other charity so they can auction them off or sell them...
As far as getting rid of a Father-In-Law, there are several legal and illegal routes you can take.
good idea, thanks!
