okay...
when an instructor attempts to pull this kind of stunt, the proper response from the student is to suggest to his nosy employee that he needs to keep his nose out of other peoples' business.
and that, newbie, is as good a working definition of general conservatism as any.
as to political conservatism: the founders knew what they were about, and meant the constitution precisely as worded. This being so, the conservative view stipulates that the government should do only those things it is expressly authorized to do under the enumeration of powers in the constitution.
