Transcript of the interview is still not up on C-SPAN's site. I am wondering if anyone thinks this is a bad idea or an impossibility. As you can probably guess, I am thrilled by the concept.

Perhaps a one-term Presidency...with Senator Santorum as his Vice-President.

terrible idea ......Cheney will be hounded mercilessly by the MSM about his heart condition.....
let's not start with a deficit....it'll be all uphill if Cheny gets it.....

I think it would be Hilarious!, but only if he won... If we lost with him as a candidate I would feel like we did it to ourselves...
To: Embraer2004
I would prefer a ticket of Cheney/Sununu

Me too! I hope it's true!
I thought he was more of the behind-the-scenes VP type, though.
To: PokerGod
I wouldn't think it would be Sununu because he was dismissed from Bush 41's administration by none other than Bush 43 (IIRC).

Bill Sammons on Fox Sunday today predicted Jeb Bush was being groomed.

Considering the parade of RINOs being bandied about as the lead candidates for '08, I would be thrilled to see Cheney accept the nomination.
The thought of him slowly and methodically dissecting & destroying the Beast in three debates is almost too much to hope for.

Forget it--he's said "no" since 2000, and unlike Kerry, he doesn't flip-flop.
Anybody seen any Hillary polls lately?

But just this morning on Fox News Sunday, Bill Sammon said that Jeb Bush is being groomed to be the front-runner in '08--hence his high-profile overseas trip.

Not Santorum. He's having problems here in PA.

Wrong Sununu. Not the father, but the son - now a US Senator.

Cheney isn't running and concerns over his heart would put him at a distinct disadvantage against Hillary.
As for Santorum, let him first win re-election in '06.
