I previously thought there wasn't a chance in hell of Cheney running in 08. As such, Jeb Bush was my first choice. But Newt seemed so certain, so assured of his prediction that I am ecstatic about the possibility.
"Bill Sammons on Fox Sunday today predicted Jeb Bush was being groomed."
That would certainly be A-OK with me!
I can't watch Letterman or Leno or SNL without keeping my thumb on the mute button.
Its a prediction that is already wrong.
Jeb has indicated (repeatedly, and now angrily) that he will not run for president in 2008.
I almost feel bad for any reporter who asks him again, Jeb gets visibly angry about it now.

Sometimes you just like someone so much, that for their sakes you just let them go and this is one of those times.
I would love for he and Lynne to be Pres and First Lady but it has been sssss0000 nasty for 4 going on 8 years for them that they will deserve the freedom of their ranch in Wyoming.
But Cheney, I don't know ... He doesn't have to do anything else to earn my respect--he's got it in spades. And take Newt with a grain of salt. IIRC, he was criticising Bush and war effort in '04 during the heat of the campaign. The hell was he thinking? Anyway, if Jeb got the nomination in '08, the left would go absolutely bonkers! That alone is worth throwing his hat in the ring.

Cheney/Anyone in 2008 would make Dole/Kemp 1996 look like a dream ticket.

I hope whomever we nominate is a good, strong candidate and can crush Hillary under his/her heel!

It's under the radar now and may be a non-starter but I have a notion this is waiting if Santorum attempts to break out. Put nothing by the rats and the MSM.
