Watching After Words on CSPAN tonight. Newt was the featured guest and at the end of the interview, he seemed beyond confident that Dick Cheney would be the Republican nominee for President in 2008. Thanks to the mediocre list of candidates floating around, I assume most freepers are very excited about the possibility.

**You may be kidding but I have to tell you, there is nothing wrong with Dick Cheney's looks....as a woman, I can definitely see what Lynne sees in her man.
Maybe he doesn't have the charisma of say, a John Kerry, but nobody's perfect. he he**
I have to agree as a woman he is an attractive man keep the charisma and give me testosterone any day !!! I also happen to agree with his politics!!!

**He's a Roman Catholic from a family of Roman Catholics whose origin was from Lebanon (which had a Christian majority not too many generations ago before the Islamofascists killed/drove them out/overpopulated them).

Is this on the maternal side then because the paternal (Cheney) as far as I know in the US comes from Ohio and can be traced back to England. Also regarding religion I have always heard him referred to as a Methodist?

Actually, I wish good luck to his daughter, but, Lynne Cheney would have made a terrific candidate for a political office. She is so smart, quick, pretty and classy.
But, Dick will want to be able to see her---they seem to have a good marriage, like George and Laura.

I agree but don't forget Lynne is only 6 months younger than Dick even though she does not seem it and yes I agree she is pretty.
Dick will want to see her it was said on the campaign trail he was always happier when Lynne was with him and that they have a great ability to make each other laugh which is quite amazing when you consider that last August they celebrated 40 years of marriage. IMHO they do have a good marriage equally as good as George and Laura another reason why IMHO the relationship between the President and his Vice President is close they share many same ideals and values including close family and good marriages.

If Kerry runs again in 2008 I wonder who his new rich wife will be. He can not keep this crazy one. Whoever the democrats run they will find it hard to beat Bush/Rice in 2008, take this one to the bank.

Then why is he going overseas? Why not send Rudy or some other high-profile candidate?Simply put, he's got more experience in these matters then anyone else, period. After dealing with thos hurricanes, no one has the background that he's got in regards to disaster relief, and coordination.
And after the UN scam, is there anyone else we can really trust?

Regardless of whether Jeb wanted to run or not in 2008 I do not think the GOP would favour this it would become a Bush dynasty in peoples minds and therefore IMHO would not be an electable ticket.

If feel exactly the same way. The man has given enough. Let them have their lives back, especially the VP.
