My guess is because he signed up on ELECTION DAY last year (Nov. 2) only to post this stupid blurb about Michael Moore.

Hmmmm.... I would say for several reasons.
One is that (and I can't verify this because the account was zapped by admin moderators) I would guess that the person JUST signed up today. Another is that although he uses a full line of text in his own first reply calling Michael Moore a traitor, his own posting spends several pages extolling the virtues of the vile man.
The posted article itself states, - Michael Moore Has Been Tipped Off in Advance that He'll Win the Prize for Favorite Film of 2004, Which He'll Accept from TV "President" Martin Sheen...
On FR, this simply is NOT newsworthy. This person had THREE warning signs of being a troll, and was thus ZOTTED!
