No need to. Let's hijack this one:

FILLING:
1 cup sour cream
3 egg yolks -- slightly beaten
1 pkg. lemon pudding mix -- 4 3/4 oz
1 1/4 cups milk
1/3 cup frozen lemonade concentrate -- thawed
1 baked (9 inch) pie shell

MERINGUE:
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
6 tbsp. sugar

Combine sour cream and egg yolks. Stir in pudding mix, milk and lemonade. Cook in top of double boiler, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and pour into pie shell. Set aside. Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Beat until stiff, adding sugar, one tablespoon at a time. Spread over pie being sure to touch crust to prevent meringue shrinkage. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned 12 to 15 minutes.

Recipe taken from "Pass the Plate", a cookbook produced by Church Women and Friends of Christ Episcopal Church, New Bern, N.C.

Sorry, I can't abide Sandler. He's not really all that funny - just annoying, IMO.

I've never liked Sandler. First movie I saw him in where he played a normal person.

He screamed at her in public, punched her boyfriend in the face in public. Then angrily told her she betrayed his trust which impacted her deeply

Shortly after this she broke it off with the boyfriend. Quaid never apologized; in fact, he said he had been right. She was the one who admitted wrong. I thought that was pretty good for Hollyweird. JMO Hildy.

Agree, just left the theater minutes ago after seeing it . All this talk about lemon pie is kind of ironic. But you'd have to see the movie.

But you don't see me starting a vanity thread about it.

OTOH, I am glad to see vanities on interesting topics.

You are free to ignore - a lesson I learned when I used to flame Academy Award threads and so forth

"The Village" is a well made film. Great cast. The plot was not as tight as it might have been. Bored my 15 year old; but, I would rate it rental worthy.

I cancelled my Netflix subscription recently. The owner of the co. is a flaming liberal. Run a search on his financial contributions and what organizations Reed Hastings supports.
You'll learn a lot about his political views.

but in the end remains faithful to the wife

In the end the younger guy learns that he wants an old-fashioned values life just like Quaid.

Great, two movies I don't have to watch.

Don't pay attention to the "how dare you post a vanity!" group. Vanities are to be limited, for sure, but a good vanity is a good use of space. Most people would like some "spoiler space," however, if you're going to tell what happens in a recent movie.
