FOXNEWS "A New Dawn of Democracy"

CNN "Iraqis Vote Amid Violence"

CNN INTERNATIONAL "Bombers Strike as Iraqis Vote"

BBC "Iraq Votes as Attacks Hit Baghdad"

Reuters "Iraq Vote Bloodied by Attacks"

CBS "Bombs on Iraq's Election Day"

ABC "Iraqis Defy Attackers in Historic Election"

The big story is the election, the first free one in Iraqi history. There is violence just about every day. Notice how different news organizations emphasize the violence over the historic nature of the election and the determination of the majority of Iraq's people to vote.

Thank you for compiling this list of headlines. The MSM have shown themselves for what they are once again. Not surprising but still totally disgusting.

The headlines point out why Foxnews' ratings are higher than CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and bbc put together. Rush is right...Americans ARE sick and tired of hearing what a miserable country they live in...and are showing it by listening to and watching shows that celebrate America.

BTW....if you are a member of the Kennedy wing of the democrat party.........is this a day that is more horrible than usual or what? All the predictions of doom and gloom haven't come true....but the day is not over yet....there is still time for everything to come unglued. (heh heh heh)

I think the least biased and most factually correct all-in-one sum-up of the story is from ABC.

"Iraqis Defy Attackers in Historic Election"

I agree. The ABC headline was shockingly unbiased and appopriate.

I thought the two worst were MSNBC & CBS:

MSNBC: "A Bloody Start to Iraq's Elections"

CBS "Bombs on Iraq's Election Day"

Yep. Even the Fox headline doesn't tell the story. "A New Dawn of Democracy" ignores the fact that people were risking their lives to vote, and the risk of violence is what makes the vote so very significant. The other news outlets make it sound like bombs and bodies were flying everywhere, but the ABC headline puts both the voting and the violence proportionally together in the same headline.
