How would one not in the know, make oneself aware of this policy?

My main reason for this post is to applaud the heroism of the bystanders.

Rottweilers and Pit Bulls were involved in 60 percent of the 27 dog bite fatalities that occurred in 1997 and 1998. Rottweilers were involved in 10 deaths, and Pit Bulls were involved in 6.

From 1979 through 1998, at least 25 breeds of dogs have been involved in 238 human dog bite related deaths. Pit Bulls and Rottweilers were involved in more than 50 percent of these deaths.

From one gal to another. They are teasing you! (they are not making fun of you) Ambrose narrows in on most of the Pitbull attack stories and posts them. It is not up to Ambrose to post them, it is just something that interests him and he normally hits on these stories before other people do. In many of the pitbull threads you will find "pitbull" lovers trying to defend this breed and most of the posters in this thread are making fun of the "pitbull" lovers and not you.

I know you are new to FR, but you have learn that there are a lot of dry humored FR people and they are being sarcastic, not at you but about this deadly breed of dog and the people who love them. Go back and read through your thread here and read it again after. Ambrose cannot stand Pitbulls and he making many people aware of just how awful these dogs are and he gets teased (in a good way) about all the Pitbull threads he does on FR.

Maybe you should ask Ambrose to put you on his Pitbull ping list so you can get a feel for the "pitbull" threads and the sarcasm that goes on in them.
