Welcome to Free Republic. Do I smell ozone or is that kitty litter? Would ye be a troll?
Thank GOD for newbies coming by, signing up, and immediately posting a silly, rambling vanity. We haven't heard any of these thoughts before so thank you for sharing them with us.

Been a buch stirin' the pot the last few days...hard to tell 'em apart without a scorecard.
Sheesh!
Refreshing, isn't it?
Ture, but at least he\she\it did put this post in chat.
Many vanities by FReepers, who should know better, have recently felt the need to put their unsourced opinion rant(s) in news.
Yeah ~ I've noticed.

I know you're talking about me and I still assert that my neighbor getting a new bike that's blue is not only news, but breaking news. The fact that the mods took it down just shows that even they make mistakes.
If you'll excuse me, a guy just walked a funny looking dog past my house. I'll ping you when my post is up.

There are many threads ongoing at anytime about the same issue, I always wonder about the motives of anyone putting up a vanity when the post could have been on an existing thread....an hour here reading the rules and seeing the forum in action by reading on a few threads is quite an education in itself.
I need to follow your example and be more tolerant, even though I'm a scorpion and it's just my nature......8^)
I think the only brain dead people on here are the idiot newbies that are posting vanities........................
Welcome to Free Republic!
If you had looked, you would see we are covering poor Terri's story quite fully.
Here are some new user guidelines you might want to consider as you watch the replies pile up:
New User Rules of Thumb
This is actually a quite friendly place once you realize some basic rules of thumb:
Don't post duplicate threads
Don't use this as an advertising place
Don't expect it to be a debating society, cause it's not.
Don't post and run. This gets more people marked as trolls than anything.
Don't use it as a place to do your homework.
Don't post in the wrong area.
When in doubt, use your spell checker.
Use the preview function to make sure your paragraphs are there.
Be respectful of the fact that many people who post here love guns, God, and the Constitution.
Viking kitties can be your friends.
Best way to get a feel for it is to get involved with discussions on threads and read a lot of what is being posted.
It's really not necessary to lurk for 6 months, rumour to the countrary!
Special vocabulary:
Zot - when the moderators declare a troll has posted, and the game of pile up on the thread takes place. Frequently symbolized by a lightning strike or an atomic explosion.
Viking Kitties - the ones who do the zotting for the mods! (a great game!)
BTTT - back to the top - when you want to bump a post back up, usually because you don't have the time to read it, but want it on your "My Comments" section.
Hugh - inhouse joke for huge
very series - inhouse joke for very serious
all your base are belong to us (I suggest you google that one. Great fun!)
Stuned - inhouse joke. Stunned, usually used in a humourous or sarcastic way, usually by a "beeber like device"
And finally:
DO NOT EVER POST A WHOLE MESSAGE IN ALL CAPS.
Remember, paragraphs are your friends.
Beware the spelling and grammar nazis. Good content will keep them at bay some times, but not always.
The trolls are in full effect today...
I'm feeeling uncharacteristically hungry and mean today.
Must be the relatively warm day today after the massive amounts of rain.
Brings out trolls like mushrooms.
You sure know how to find them.
