Most certainly the mother picked her child up rather than simply poking at him? I doubt he could have/would have died in the toilet no matter how shocked the mother was.

The article says the child died after 11 minutes of exposure in the icy water of the toilet bowl -- AFTER the woman from whose womb he emerged allowed him to grasp her finger.

If she gave birth, saw her baby in the toilet, cold, in danger of drowning, and FELT LOVE FOR HIM....she would have scooped him up into her arms to hold him close to her.

I'm with you. What was the baby doing in a toilet in the first place. She would have been on an exam table or operating table if she were having an abortion, not on a toilet. Also, they would not have discarded the baby in a toilet.
