ROMANTIC Sindy Cromar hit the jackpot when her unusual marriage proposal, using a lottery scratchcard, got a resounding "yes" from her partner.
Sindy, 40, of Carrington Way, Prestwood, popped the question to her husband-to-be Roger Smith, 42, from Maidstone, Kent, on Valentine's Day.

Well, I just wanted to offer a counter to the threads about a self-involved dink who caused her friends, family, and future groom to panic (and waste taxpayer money).
The proposal scratch-off cards are a novel idea; one that could do well in the States.

Aww how sweet. I have heard of some people we know where the women proposed. One of them the guy thought he was getting mixed signals so he chickened out. It turned out the woman was getting anxious waiting for him to propose.
That's how it happened to me, also. Oh, I've been to Maidstone Kent. A buddy of mine got married there in a castle. Neat place.
