As much heat as I've taken of Free Republic for being friends with John and Jennifer, this is the best one by far.
First, a quick background: They are both friends of mine via Sunday School in our church. John and I have played golf and have become good friends. Hence:

ATLANTA (CNN) -- Jennifer Wilbanks, a Georgia woman missing since Tuesday night, has been found alive and well in New Mexico, a friend of the family told CNN.
Wilbanks was located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and told her family she had been abducted and taken there, according to John Kim, a friend of Wilbank's family.

Reading some folks posts on FR must have been torture for you at times.
Maybe I should just 'fess up now. Ha. I've actually corresponded with the person who sent in the original email. I honestly don't think they meant anything malicious or racist or anything like that. They were just trying to help. Again, I find it kind of funny.
There were certainly "bad apples" of FR during this saga, but there have been TONS of supportive, awesome posts and mails. Certainly, I've made new friends through all of this.
Now, back to crushing the Dimmocrats
I'd keep my face off camera too, not only did you graduate from Vanderbilt, you advertise it on your home page!!!!

It's amazing to me that Michael Grace could not even bother to spell Duluth correctly, but considering the two words he did spell right--no big surprise.
Bet his Mama is proud of him......but not being from the "looney south" he might not care.
Seriously, this story has long been over. It is nothing but pile-on now. The ones who cannot let this go are those who need someone to kick around to bolster their own sense of importance. There will be consequences for Jennifer, to be sure. The toughest maybe when the time comes that she has to face the world.
The Southern bashing doesn't even bother me. I am secure enough and Southern enough to know what they are missing and as long as they think we are a bunch of backward hicks, they won't be visitng anytime soon.
It is sort of like living here in Fosyth County. I live in the north part of the county where the rest of the county thinks there is nothing but poor backwards, illiterate, barefoot chicken farmers. Suits me just fine. It keeps away the riff-raff.
at least people from Vandy can spell dogs. Ha! I grew up a Georgia fan. I actually got "booed" at my high school graduation when it was announced I had turned down some scholarship to Georgia to attend Vandy. Scarred me for life.
Certainly there will be consquences for Jennifer for what has happened. I think she understands this and has no problem with it. People who want to attribute this story to the South, Christians, etc...well, it certainly says more about them than us.
oh, and under Bobby Johnson, Vanderbilt has won 3 Div. I games in the last three years. This year, playing Georgia will make it 4 in 4. Mark it down.

Husband is a Dawg and still can't stand Steve Spurrier, was happy it did not work out with the Redskins, but I hope to have the chance to learn to love the man....I'll have to get back to you after next season on that one.

my sister lives in columbia. father in law is dean at USC. i once played golf with george rogers at a celeb tourney. (they still love the guy!). now i got another gamecock to deal with. :)
of course, i've always been a Southern Cal fan. Or FSU. or whoever's winning. just kidding. I'm a commodore. can't way to play Murray state or Ohio U.
