Police trying to foil a kidnapping in Holland found they had instead blundered into an elaborate sex game.
Passers-by called police after seeing a young blonde woman being bundled into the back of a van in Brunssum.
Three men had roughly manhandled the struggling woman who was handcuffed, blindfolded, gagged and staggering on high heels in fishnet stockings.
Police scrambled a helicopter, motorbikes and squad cars - 22 officers in all - and tracked the van to the city of Heerlen some 20 miles away.
There was a dramatic chase which ended in a police road block and the men being ordered to lie face down at gunpoint on the road.
Two of them were only half dressed and police feared the woman had been raped in the back of the van.

well .. this is holland. They are really famous for tollerance against loonies.
Actually I like their attitude - obviously they take care if you end up struggling in a van. Can you say so for every place in the US ?
No really - generally spoken you will run across looneys their every single moment and if you tell people you are offended by someones 'wierd behaviour' they will ask you to look otherways - but honestly, life is really safe and easy in the netherlands.

The problem with this as I see it, is they involved non-consenting people. If a couple wants to do bondage in the privacy of their home,and they are both adults then it's not really the states business. If they want to do bondage in the local mall then they have involved all those people in the mall and those people did not consent to be involved.
My husband and I lived together for 6 years before we got married as well.
I know this sort of thing is applauded in Holland....child porn is almost legal also....well on its way to becoming acceptable in that part of our world.
I will take America anyday over Holland. Holland is not a "safe and easy place to live" for children. Many people go to Holland for child sex....where, like I said above, appears to be less and less of an offense.

They have invested big time in policing the internet and their police contributes seriously to international police operations (such as the busting of the california child porn ring in 2003 where they followed up the consuments in their country)
But honestly their crime statistics don't look that bad - and thats not because they don't care - as this example demonstrates.

No, I am not going to debate this issue any longer. Mainly because it is unpleasant and not something I wish to talk about any longer. I could google sources for you but I am at work and do not wish to put that stuff on my work computer. However, I think it is real clear about the laws of Holland, the age of consent, etc....I am basing my opinion of the laws of Holland.
I guess we can agree to disagree on this one.
