"but the Prequel films will never be incorporated into 'my' Star Wars. "

Adding insult to injury Lucas is apparently intent to banishing from official public view your (and my) original star wars films, and instead only his updated improved slapstickish versions.

I've got mine for 12:03am (through a local movie chain.)

I think it's so neat that you are going to the midnight showing on opening day! My husband is going to the midnight show too, with a good friend of his. He says that he will take me next weekend. :-/ It's okay though, I have to work the next morning and would be a total zombie.

When the LOTR movies came out, I found that there's nothing that can compare to the magic of seeing those opening midnight shows with the rabid fans. Have fun!

I'm taking my Mom, who is also a huge sci-fi fan.
She took me when the first one came out, so it's my turn to return the favor.

I don't go to movies often - last one was LOTR: ROTK but this one I've been waiting for since I was 3.

Too many distractions at home and unless you have a $50,000 entertainment system, it just doesn't compare. Besides, its good to get out of the house for something other than work.

Amen to these two! Food shouldn't make noise. I'm for the outlaw of chips, popcorn, ice, crunchy candy, etc...if it makes noise when you chew it, open mouthed or otherwise, ban it from the theater. Smackers should be sent to the nearest cow pasture as punishment.

I agree! Those noises bother me as well. I put as much distance between me and where the crowd gravitates as possible and as close to one of the speakers as possible.

Most of the 3am-6am showings here were empty I am told.
