For heaven's sake, patton-your wife should give you a well deserved smack for your attitude-you MEN are not the ones who have to scrounge something to cook and then prepare it. You saw the hoops xs and I have had to jump through to find food for extra people on short notice, and I even have the added pleasure of having groceries 20 miles away-that is nearly 1 1/2 hour round trip just to get something to fix-and xs has three kids to see to while she is finding and fixing the food. Unless you regularly stock enough food for the Mongol hoardes to consume at one sitting, it is not easily done-I pity your wife...

I have hardly had any sleep, hubby has gone off to work and my guests are sleeping in. Unfortunately, their DOG is not-it is growling and sniffing from inside the guest room, so I have had to trap Husky girl and Kitty boy upstairs with me. Since they stayed at a hotel in SA last time they visited courtesy of the fact that he was there on business, we were unaware they had acquired a small Schnauzer who has a cat chasing fetish. We have a cat who has a torment-and-chase-dog fetish and a dog who does not like strange humans or dogs. Every time the Schnauzer sees the cat, she begins yapping loudly and straining at her leash, which delights the cat who stands just out of leash-end range posturing and swatting at the air-which makes Husky girl howl, bark and strain at her leash because she thinks HER cat is in danger. My sister-in-law's dog could be heard all night long barking inside the guestroom-I really wish I had known about the dog-I could have planned better for it.

We did have a lovely dinner, though-my sister-in-law and I are going shopping this morning and then I'm taking her (and her dog)sightseeing around the community. Her hubby is leaving shortly to go by the offices of the company he works for in SA, then to meet my hubby at his office for lunch. I hear their alarm going off-I'd better go make some more coffee...
