Violation of PRIVACY! ZABASEARCH.COM - New data base which most likely has your name on it!

Because if you type in your name, and it's listed, most of them have the addresses right there with the name. It's how I knew it was me, both times!

I wouldn't say that. I'd just say that there isn't much privacy out there. I looked up the most controversial politician I know of to see if his home number was there. It was.

If you give the company your email address, it will send you an email with instructions for doing so. When you receive the email, you are told that any request to edit or delete your records must be in writing.

I'm there, but the only time I registered with the information provided, is on the internet.

They are not getting this from phone books, or property information since I have phone numbers listed and own property in different counties.

We all should be careful how much information we give out on the WORLD WIDE WEB.

Exactly. I was very disappointed with the reply. At best it makes the person desiring removal, go through all of those elaborate steps - in writing and via snail mail!

This website is outrageous! Before having discovered it, I'd assumed that sites of this sort were only on the internet for checking up on sex offenders and child molesters who, by law, must have their current residences posted publicly.

From the way ot looks in their reply email, you can request that they remove the information that they already have - you don't have to give them information they don't already have.

It doesn't sound exactly like phishing to me

I guess they take it off the web but I doubt they take it off the database. This means you can't see it but somebody who might want to investigate can still get access.
