A ground war with China will never happen, simply because China isn't capable of deploying their forces overseas. I don't care how many uniformed soldiers China has, the only way we would have to worry about matching their numbers is if we were invading China. Since that will never happen, we should focus on our trade policies. All it would take to collapse the Chinese economy is to stop all their imports from arriving in our ports. The Chinese are far too invested in our economy to be planning for a future Military conflict. If we cut off their access to our markets, China would look like North Korea within a year

Now, this wouldn't be a problem if history didn't teach us that two powerful countries cannot exist on the same planet at the same time. Competition between powerful nations will always breed war.
