MDA telethon to appeal for hurricane relief

LOS ANGELES - Comedian Jerry Lewis announced this week that his annual Labor Day Telethon benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association will also feature celebrity fund-raising appeals for the relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
He also announced that MDA will donate $1 million of its funds to help victims in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama
Ass and Class.
Oh, I can imagine a lot of people figure the federal government is already giving something on their behalf. $10.5B is something like $40 from each man, woman and child in the US, and the President said that's just a "small downpayment."
This West person (I have no clue WHO he is, I am over 50 and could care less about these talentless people who pop up and then disappear) is a horrible, hateful, disgusting example of what is wrong with the left side of this country.
It is repulsive to me (and a lot of others) that nasty ungrateful talentless 'people' like this get any news time at all.
Good thing this is a country where people like him can be complete a--holes in public and get paid for it and not dropped into a shredder.
