Howdy all!
I am working on an article about search giant Google, and was wondering if I might get your comments?
Specifically, I am looking for personal experience stories, good or bad, as well as cool information & uses for Google. Focus points of the article include cool searches, pro's & cons and how to's.
Do you love Google? Tell me why! Hate it? I would love to hear your stories as well!
Any comments?
BUMP - I know you guys have opinions here...
I don't actually use Google anymore as I've switched over to Clusty. They tend to (at leats it seems to me) be more left-leaning in the order and ranking of hits I get. Clusty is producing just as many hits, and they are still useful as well.
I use Google every day to see how well my book is selling.
I think Google's seasonal changes to its logo are cute, and I look forward to seeing them.
Here's a neta site that tells you about a lot of Google features.

I love Google.
I do a lot of research and I find google returns quality hits very quickly.

Enjoy....:)
[and block ALL Google cookies in their myriad, sneaky forms]
Appreciate the links!
No problem.
This might help:

I give google high ratings as a search engine, a failing grade for its privacy practices. I have now blocked the cookie on my computer. Regret I did not do it sooner.
How can we be sure we have blocked them all?
I agree Google is leftist. I use Yahoo, the most complete site on the internet for many years now.
I moved to dogpile and Copornic. I use clusty for shopping. No more google for me. I dont want to be tracked and I am sick of leftys.
Go to "Tools" then "Internet Options" then "Privacy" and click the "Edit" button at the bottom.
Scroll through the list of cookies and block them.
I set mine to "Advanced" and checkmark "Override automatic cookie handling" and select "Ask" for "first party cookies" and "Block" for third party cookies.
You'll get popups for 1st party cookies on websites but the secuirty is worth the hassle, IMO.
Or try something like CookieCop here;

Never mind the link.
PC Mag went "pay per view"....;-\
Go ask the 2nd amendment community, google is very left wing. They refuse to accept adds from any gun manufacturers or dealers and the search results on same are suspect.
Lots of background on this at AK-47.net.
