Freeper Michael P.Tremoglie ( William Tell 2 ) broke a story on Free Republic about the floodgate project that was aborted in 1977 because of an environmentalist lawsuit. Tremoglie quoted Professor Stone of LSU stating that if the floodgates at the Rigolets and Chef Menteur passes had been built the flooding would have been alleviated. Just do a search for poster William Tell 2 the title is Compassionate Liberalism 3 Environmentalists may have caused Flooding
Yet Hannity and Colmes did not bother to credit Tremoglie.
This is a classic example of conservative's eating their own. Liberals at least will stick together.
What a shame. A smalltime freelance conservative journalist gets a scoop and the big boys won't even give him credit. So instead of maybe getting a chance to make a living he gets ripped off.
I am going to contact Hannity and Colmes and give them a piece of my mind.
Freep Hannity and Colmes!!
It was on TV all day. Tony Snow talked about it this morning I believe.
Whoa There Crockett !!!! Wait for Tubbs !!!
That whole "fifteen minutes of fame" thing is over rated anyway.
Exaclty, and I happend to love Sean Hannity so sorry, won't be freeping him.
Tremoglie wrote it last Thursday and they used the exact same info. Plenty of time for Fox to get it.
Sorry I think people should get credit for what they do. Maybe you condone stealing other peoples ideas. I don't
You would feel the same way if it happened to you.
BTW to a journalist fame is money.
What a JACKA$$!!!!!!!
I was told about this by someone who lives in the area and saw an article on it on National Review Online. So I can hardly call it a Freeper story.
A retired politician from Louisiana talked about this on Fox News Channel days ago.
First, a special thanks to Michael P.Tremoglie for breaking the story here.
Second, who knows where Hannity got the info, really.
I'm just glad the story got out. We can count our blessings. It could have been worse, and the story could have been buried.
Never look a gift horse in the mouth. In this case, two gift horses.
Didn't the LA Times run this story? Was that after it appeared on FR?
What did Howie Dean just say to Combs about the Congressional Research Service came out today and said Blanco did everything right?
Anyone heard of that or did he make this up?
The National Review article was about a different lawsuit. I read that one two.
How is it a scoop to uncover historical facts known at the time and bring them up for new attention years later?
Thanks WT2. Thanks for posting MV and making us aware of this outstanding contributor, to this outstanding site.
After an exhaustive and lengthy battle between our lawyers, we were able to work out a deal where for everytime he uses one of my pics, he has to give me the next sequential number of Ann Coulter's cell phone number.
I'm one digit way from her area code!
Woo Hoo!
This was Bob Livingston. He didn't mention the specific case. h just said lawsuits. Tremoglie mentioned him in the article.
The bigger story is the floodgates project and all the Rats see is who should have the glory. LOL!
It is not an idea of who gets the credit. We(Freepers) are all in it together.
