Seems like a good post to mention something I heard recently. Friend of mine tells me of a psych study done by a former CIA analyst my friend met about 20 years back. Apparently this analyst had concluded and written a paper stating (well before Michael Savage's book) that most people can differentiate their fantasy view of the world from the reality that goes on around them. But the liberal cannot recognize or cope with the difference and becomes very agitated when told the world does not conform to the liberal's fantasy view of how things are supposed to be. I think this study can be obtained, I'll ask my friend for details.

I think this was a great post! I participate on another board, and we conservatives are outnumbered by the libs there, who constantly engage in name-calling and in starting vicious arguments. I find the conclusions you cited very factual.

Thanks again - it was a very informative study, and I'll probably share it with the other board (althought the libs will really go crazy when they see it).

We found the conservatives to more tolerant and understanding of their counterparts, at times humorously laughing off attacks rather than counter-attacking. They generally stuck to the political issues being discussed rather than digress into personal attacks.We’d almost call most of them “liberal”.

Why am I not surprised?
