I am looking for a PC game (on-line or not) that is more or less just an exploration adventure game.

You mean like the ones back before when graphics technology was capable of emulating death so well?

Me, I'm a FPS... but like you, I don't like gore(blood/guts), but I sure do love seeing bodies fly in response to a well placed tank round. (is that still gore?)

Anyway, I do appreciate your quest for SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

this_ol_patriot, I play every evening, usually after 7 pm EST. My characters are Belle Starr (level 20, fire elem) and Kara Pac (level 18 monk). I still have not bought the II version. Too hung up on GW still.

Morrowind.

Go out and get it now. Its expansion packs, Bloodmoon and Tribunal, are optional.

You will ADORE it. It's the most immersive game I've ever played.

Bacon can testify to its power. He used to get up early before work so he could play.

Xenalyte do you have any suggestions for mods other than the ones on the Morrowind official website?

I played through twice, once early right out of the box and once after the expansions and used the mods on the site.

Yea if you're looking for exploration, Morrowind is for you. The world is enormous.

I play Half-Life/Science & Industry a couple of times a week. Look for "stumpy" on one of the eight or so servers that host SI. I've also been known to play a mean "dustbowl" in TFC...

PS2 only. Man is it something, too. I didn't pay much attention to it until a few months ago, and now I know why they call it So-crack. There is nothing like nailing a terrorist in the head with a SR-25 long shot.

Heya Joe... saw you jump into the JL server thursday and then lost connection... your the only one I saw.
I checked out rox, but didn't see anyone there either.
You can find me there on JL FREQUENTLY... usually late.
Is JL a high pinger for you?

I don't remember the ping, but it didn't seem real active so I split. I've been following my team mates around to different servers lately. Rox is never occupied for some reason. I'll try to hook up with ya.

Thats one the things i like about it.
I seem to really enjoy a relatively low number of players, and doing 1 on 1 types of engagements. Once a few people do join, that server will fill up pretty quick. They normally dont use voip there to help with lag, and use teamspeak instead. If we play there regularly, I think they will let us use their TS server, and give us access on an individual basis as they have with me. Anyway, I practice there a LOT... very cool bunch of guys... (and gal).

Please not yet, I have not played such games on my computer yet, much less online. So please allow me to figure some stuff out first. It may take me a while.
