The photographs eyes see,
a hopeless hope kept whole,
in papered anguished plea,
the screams of New York's soul.

Walls of silent cries
in reams of black and white
as mutely each denies
tomorrows' empty night

Through focused camera lens,
a thousand pictures burned
in minds of untold men,
the souls that won't return.

Has anybody seen....?

Hi Ruth, and Welcome!

I'm the board Curmudgeon, and general overall silly guy. Nice to see you here, and the poem has power, nice indeed!
