I just thought that it might be neat if willing freepers would post a screenshot of their desktop. Try to scale the images to a height of no more than 700 pixels..

Running xfce as my desktop with gimp, openoffice, firefox, xterm, and windows media player (via wine).
With all apps minimized..

I just googled the image, saved it and converted it to a .bmp.

I'm just running the default Fedora Core 4 desktop, littered with multiple windows , of Firefox with mostly /FreeRepublic threads.

My desktop at home is a fall picture of a river the winds through the Porcupine Mountains near Lake of the Clouds in Upper Michigan.
This isn't my photograph, but I've seen it first hand and hiked through this area. The colors in fall are beautiful. I hope to return there again someday.
