Long Island attorney has been charged with being an oline sexual predator. Nassau District Attorney Denis Dillon says 46-year-old Thomas Sheehan of East Setauket is accused of having explicit sexual conversations with a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.
Dillon says Sheehan is an attorney with an office in Jackson Heights, Queens.
DA Dillon says Sheehan visited a chatroom where he began a conversation with an udnercover officer posing as a teen-age girl. Sheehan allegedly talked about meeting the girl for sexual activity.
Dillon says at the same time Nassau officers were zeroing in Sheehan -- New York City internet detectives were arresting him for a similar charge of talking sex with a person he believed to be underage.
Dillon says Sheehan is being charged in Nassau County with Attempting to Disseminate Indecent Material to Minors.
Dillon says since his office has begun looking for online predators, there have been 24 arrests.

Since his last name is Sheehan, it is VERY hard to do a search on him. Considering it is Nassau County NY, I'm comfortable with assuming, yes. If not the ACLU, then the NLG.
I listen to the Kim Komando radio program on computers and she has warned parents about this site, she checks for family kids and ones she knows and alerts parents that the kid is there, giving too much information and making one a danger for sex maniacs. (my space.com)
I was half asleep, when she was talking about a young girl who disappeared and was found dead in a chicken house in the next state.
Kim herself checked for her here, found where she worked, went to school and lived, by reading her posts.
She found an 11 year old girl, that she knew, posting here as a 17 year old and sounding as tho she were 17.
I did not go and check it, but will list it as I think she gave it out.
Kim also said that FBI.com has a list of sex molesters on the site.
family watchdog.com is a website, you put your address in and it will give you a map, that shows where the sex offenders are in your neighborhoods..
Important to know, when so many kids are out and knocking on doors for halloween.
