Ah, it has been a while since I went east of University on 19th. I usually go to Chimy's, Sazon, Spanky's or Great Wall (all within easy walking distance of my office).

LOL, that is BS. Even if that volume of food was all canola oil, it would not be 30k calories. I bet that is not more than 3000 calories. Cmon.....

I am trying to nominate One Guy for sainthood because of his pizza and calzone. Recently, I have been in a Saigon Cafe mood (your daughter should try their pho and hotpot).

Someone fudged the numbers I think - 154 tablespoons of oil? That is a LOT of oil......

I'll bet anything that the fried items were deep-fried in that oil. However, only a small portion of that oil made it into the sandwich.

Oh good point - I forgot the friend mushrooms and corn dogs...... but you are right - unless they poured the oil onto the bread -

But they DID fudge the numbers, as you said. Most of the oil is left in the deep fryer at the end of the day, but this guy's calorie total counts all of it. Did he cool it to 85 degrees and drink it? Use it as au jus?

I doubt it. LOL

Squantos, I almost always drink iced tea or diet coke, but have you had a Dr. Pepper from the Dublin plant? They use real sugar instead of corn sweetners in their regular Dr. Pepper and you can really tell the difference.

My son and I had one while traveling near Dublin (Hico area) but found them here in Houston....
