AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1756) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 11, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 11/11/2005 4:57:52 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Today is Veterans Day, a National holiday to recognize those who serve, and those who have served, this Nation's highest calling, to protect our freedom and our people from the others in the world that would do us harm.

The Federal Government is closed, the Post Office doesn't deliver, state government workers have the day off.

But Fairfax county schools in Virginia apparently think veterans are no big deal--schools are not only open, the holiday isn't even acknowledged.

Sad.For AMERICA - The Right Way,I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Oh my, the subsequent callers have embraced Bennetts' earlier caller, Daniel, offering him prayers and encouragement.

Gotta run!

Toby and ong, thank you so much for your service to our wonderful country!!

Good morning! I hugged my dad last night, and plan to do so again tonight if I see him. Does that count?

The markets are open today too. But not on MLK Day.

Good morning, I'm off for line dancing this morning.

Good morning, Molly. Have you been listening to the veteran stories on Bill Bennett this am? I have had several throat tightenings and eye moistenings listening to them.

I can't for the life of me understand how a country that produces so many world class heroes can be so infested with so much insane, military-hating liberalism.

May God bless our vetarans!

Great! Well, I missed it. I was so busy yesterday, I didn't even get to lurk. I also missed Daniel's call.

Today at 11:00, I will stand for a minute of silence. My Grandpa was wounded in France in the "Great War". My late Dad was a Vet of WWII, Korea and Viet Nam.

"Lest we forget!"

Thanks for the links, Molly! Michael Yon IS incredible. Chris Muir of DayByDay cartoons also talks about Mark Yost, and he is highly critical of the LSM's coverage of Iraq. See here.

If you are known as much by who your enemies are as your friends, I'd say that Mr. Yost is in the same good company as President Bush.

Laura Ingraham coming up with more great stories, I expect. Keep the hanky handy.

I patted myself on the back. ;^)

If this weren't all the way up north, I'd drive up there myself and do it myself, even if I do get arrested.

Thanks Molly... and a happy and thankful Veteran's Day to all who have served in the Armed Forces.

Thanks to each one for their greetings yesterday.

Mozie... and kay... thanks for the cards. I appreciate your thoughts and kindness.

Had a delightful treat here in Kansas this morning. The local Hy-Vee grocery store was providing a free breakfast for all members of the armed forces, active duty and veterans. They made an announcement while I was in the store yesterday.

When I arrived about 7:30am today the place was almost full. All the managers were serving the food and doing a great job of welcoming veterans. I didn't see anyone in uniform. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, grits, sausage, biscuits and gravy, home fries, breakfast pastries and assorted drinks. It was a wonderful treat and it was obvious there was a lot of good interaction between the veterans and their guests. The guests were charged $3.00 for their meal.

Being alone, I joined a table and got acquainted with some very nice folks, all of whom are disappointed with the liberal agenda that gets all the news and attention.

Not going to have access to a computer most of today. Have a great day, each one of you.

Giving up Armistace Day for MLK is a hot potato in some areas. The politicos had to quell the maurading masses of the 60s. It smacks my grits, but he was the only one the politicos could think of to honor, no one like Geo Washing Carver who made a real impact when he invented Peanut Butter. He was too peaceful.

Roomey and I will attend the services today at the square, honoring our Veterans. Mozie and Jemian I will ring the bell for your guys.

Because 2/3s in a box of sweet apples there are about 3 or 4 rotten ones, that's why. Our wonderful brave heroes will eventually outnumber the week-kneed, loud-mouth, tv-camera-hunting liberals. We just need to get some strong conservative Republicans to replace the lilly-livered ones we now have in Washington. Roomey cannot understand what happens to our elected "servants" when they move to Washington.

What a wonderful surprise for the veterans. By golly, if we had a Hy-Vee store, here, I'd go no where else. Please thank them for us.

Geo Washington Carver went to Iowa State (just like my sons). He deserves more recognition than he gets.

Perhaps he should have invented Ramen Noodles. The students would erect a statue for him.

The sun is shining and it is a bit brisk this morning. A beautiful day to attend the tributes to our Heros.

You must be fairly near Iowa. Hy-Vee is an Iowa based company and I noticed your post sometime yesterday about a young man deployed with the Iowa Guard.

Continued prayers for your recuperation. Relax and enjoy the pampering.

Today will clear up, would you believe we have a little fog. It should burn off before 1100 hours.

Perhaps George should have invented those noodles.

Well gotta go and get ready. bbl.
