It is the concept, indeed. They don't even want you to think about them, let alone to teach your kids about them. Get him one, by all means, then take him to the shooting range and get him a ccw as soon as you can. hahah.

I'm in Cape Girardeau, Mo

No caps in Rush's hometown? :)

I can't help you find any, but your post brings back fun childhood memories. I loved the smell of those popped caps.

I want to buy my five year old grandson a western outfit and a real cap gun for Christmas.

Don't open your door to visitors with suit coats and black ties after posting this... ; )

---IIRC, ToysrUs refuses to sell "war toys" and I had been boycoting them since--anybody with an update on this?

This sort of insanity is due to Leftist stupidity which holds that little boys raised with toy guns will undoubtedly grow up to be homicidal murderers.

Funny how the Leftists aren't demanding that all those infant dolls should be banned because, according to their moronic logic, little girls raised with those will undoubtedly grow up to be unwed mothers.

They want to teach kids that guns are bad from the time they're little

Which is the reason I buy all my grandkids a Red Ryder, (you'll shoot your eye out), BB gun on their 8th birthday, and will buy them a .22 on their 12th. All of them, boys and girls alike.

The left stays the hell out of North Idaho, and we plan on keeping it that way.

Probably should have. I have lots and lots of stories of adventure as a kid; I'm honestly amazed I survived in one piece, looking back at some of them.

We blew out a power-pole transformer, sunk a bulldozer, exploded many things, launched tennis balls hundreds of yards, made our own arc lamps with 240vAC. No time for safe stuff like gunfights.

We have cap pistols and cap rifles. The boys like the roll caps because you can wrap them around the rifle stock to keep track of them when you're charging the Yankees.

I'm buying my kids a Ruger Single-Six for Christmas.

:^)

(for use only under qualified adult supervision, of course)

Wouldn't Rush be appalled? It is about the time he shows up around here. He used to buy David a fancy new vehicle every year, but maybe not now since David has big bucks, too.

My son has a couple of BB guns...

All my children started shooting .22 pistols when they were 5, the age of your grandson....

My oldest daughter, now 20, competed on the US Air Force Academy Rifle team last year, NCAA.

This year she competed on the combat pistol team, non-NCAA.

My middle daughter (16 years old) had me take her and her friends to the pistol range for her "Sweet Sixteen" birthday party....she out-shot her boyfriend, snicker........

My 14 year old son....he's a natural...very focused and relaxed when shooting. He would like to go to Annapolis and become a Seal Team sniper....OBTW, he also wants to be a Catholic Priest.....LOL...We told him he could shoot his target and administer last rites....

Just don't pull the pin out too fast though. Been there, done that, black fingers and all.

Great family! I have a son who want to be a priest, too. How that will square with being a Confederate re-enactor, I'm not sure ...

I saw a news report showing these anti violent toy people with a smirk on their faces talking about their success in convincing Toys r Us to remove violence promoting toys from their shelfs, and hiding others.
I don't remember what they call themselves though.
Typical gen x hippie with a ponytail and a goatee, John lennon type glasses. It was on 60 minutes a couple weeks ago. Probably bored gay vegans who want to mold every thought your child is exposed to.
