The Hobbit Hole XXVI - Home is behind, the world ahead
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 12/11/2005 8:37:40 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Home is behind, the world ahead

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

So, what would you do if a bunch of us ran across the street and spray painted "LOTR RULES TLTWATW DRULES" on the Narnia threads?

Good Morning ALL

Hair, the new place looks fine, think I'll get my fletching materials from the cart. Great job on the hobbiteers from SouthPark.

Exgeeeye: Narnia, waaay cool. Superb job.

Now for a cuppa tea to celebrate.

LOL!! Happy Advent, everyone!

I like XGI's thread logo. We even have Aslan visiting the Hole. How appropriate!
Are there enough stockings for everyone?

I'm amazed at one particular person on the Narnia threads who posts on seemingly every thread, "I'm not going to see it, it's just a kid's movie!"

OK, so... why are you posting to every thread about the movie, then? :P

I think it's a free for all for the stockings. That's why half the group of HHers seems to be armed in some fashion.

I think this definition is the one that applies:

ectomorph (n) : a person with a thin non-muscular body

mesomorph (n) : a person with a well-developed muscular body

Or perhaps Mr. T. We don't know if it was the build, or the lack of color, was the most objectionable :~D

It must be the lack of color given the obsession around FR with Ann Coulter's skeletal physique.
