Conservatives Urged to Avoid Progressive Insurance

(CNSNews.com) - A conservative advocacy group is urging its supporters to cancel their policies with Progressive Insurance, after Peter Lewis, the company's chairman, reportedly gave $8.5 million to the American Civil Liberties Union. The multi-million dollar donation will help the ACLU advance its liberal agenda, including its "war on Christmas," the American Family Association warned. In an email message, AFA Founder and Chairman Don Wildmon urged his supporters to "sign a letter to Chairman Lewis, letting him know" that his donation to the ACLU is prompting conservatives to cancel their insurance policies. The AFA recently announced that it was ending its boycott of Target stores, after the retailer promised to use the word "Christmas" in its advertising and in-store promotions.

"My policies are with Progressive too. Maybe it's time to call GEICO."

Great.......you're just now figuring out why it's called "progressive"? How many thousands of dollars have you already paid to this communist front organization?

"Yeah, I insure my car and my boat with them. I guess I better start shopping around for new insurance."

Amazing to me that so many Conservatives haven't figured out why they call themselves "progressive". Maybe if they called themselves Bolshevik Liberal Commie Democrat Abortionist Transgender GunGrabber Car Insurance you would have gotten a clue.

Easy there, big fella.

Maybe you could see this as a positive development.

Progressive sucks.

Val finds out about it for first time on FR.

Val will talk to Andy about other insurance carriers.

Lighten up.

It's Christmas time.

I have USAA on everything except that, at least in Tennessee, they don't offer insurance on motorcycles so I ended up putting that with Progressive because it was one of the companies USAA referred me to at the time of purchase. Actually, I'm planning to move it to GEICO when the policy expires.

I'm a Progressive Insurance agent in Texas and have been for 10 years. I have probably 30 other companies to write for, but now that I know this I have to take action.

USAA has partnered with Progressive, which provides boat insurance to USAA members.
