Small Space Rock Spotted Hitting the Moon

Add one more crater to the already beat-up Moon. Astronomers have recorded a tiny blip northwest of Mare Imbrium, a flash caused by a meteoroid hit within the “Sea of Showers.”

While such impacts are not uncommon, it was only in 1999 that a meteoroid hit was first recorded as it took place. This new observation of a run-in between Moon and meteoroid was recorded on Nov. 7, spotted by Robert Suggs, Space Environment team lead in the Natural Environments Branch of the Marshall Center’s Engineering Directorate in Huntsville, Alabama.

The rock is estimated to have been about 4-5 inches (12 centimeters) in diameter and to have left a crater 10 feet wide and 1.3 feet deep (3 meters by 0.4 meters).

The flash "was about as bright as a 7th magnitude star," Suggs said. That's dimmer than the faintest star a person can see with the unaided eye.

The COnspiracy Theorists/Armageddon Countdown/Art Bell =crowd are already declaring that it was a test of another Super-Secret Anti-Matter Nuke bomb planted there by the last Space Shuttle.

It took her a while to get there, but we finally found out what happened to Alice Cramden.

Yes, it was. But my response was an update. I've an Art Bell/Conspiracy Nut/Armegeddon Countdown Blues theorist in the family, and he's already pushing the "nuke weapon" explanation. Even money says that it becomes the subject of one of the Art Bell/George Nory shows soon.

Is this related to our super-secret moon base we have there? I never did follow the reasoning behind all of that.

Apparently, yes. Remember when the Shuttle remained in space for an extra few days to check for maintenance issues? Well, apparenly that "space walk" was a video taken elsewhere (probably the same set where they faked the original moon landing), while the real shuttle flew to the base, landed, offloaded the nuke, took on some fuel, and zipped back to earth before we were any the wiser. Must be Karl Rove again, directing camoflauge for his eeeevil plot.
