Is the Rose Bowl parade not on this year?
It's tomorrow for some reason that I'm sure is completely pathetic.
It's tomorrow, they never have it on Sunday. I find this annoying. And hubby says the game is not until Wednesday, so that makes no sense.
Luckily I have tomorrow off, so I can watch the parade. But it's not the same.
Don't you feel stupid for posting this vanity now!
The Rose Parade has a tradition of never on Sunday. It will be on Tuesday.

NEVER ON SUNDAY. It's always been that way and always will be that way. The Parade is never on Sunday.
Unfortunately, looks like a wet one this year. We haven't had rain on this parade in about 4 decades but I think they are going to get drilled tomorrow. We had plenty of rain here yesterday and more on the way.
Back in the 1890s, when the parade started, people had a little more respect for Sunday as a religious day of rest than they do now. That's why.
While the parade is going on tomorrow it will be 50 degrees, pouring rain, and the wind blowing at 30 mph, so it won't be the same in a lot of ways.
You might want to check, I think it is on Monday.

So true. Churches in drive in's, drive through churches and funeral parlors. Preachers on roller skates at the beach. Yep, So Cal is a very religious and pious place.

First churches closed on Christmas Sunday. Next the Rose Parade is on the 2nd. Then the New Years' Day NFL will be on the 3rd.
