Hannity Live, Levin Joins (WJR - Detroit, MI) Lineup
WJR Radio ^ | January 6, 2006 | WJR

Beginning Monday, January 9th, our afternoon programming line up will alter slightly as we strive to keep you Michigan’s best informed radio audience.

We are pleased to announce that the Mitch Albom Show will continue to anchor afternoon drive from a new time 5-7 p.m. This enables WJR to continue the 10 year tradition of bringing the Mitch Albom Show to you LIVE in the afternoon. This also will allow Mitch the time to address other demands of his career while continuing a show that we at WJR and Mitch are both proud of. In addition, Mitch will also continue to bring you “The Monday Sports Albom” each Monday from 7-8 p.m.

As a result of this change, we look forward to Sean Hannity covering the 3-5 p.m. time slot on WJR. This will give our listeners the opportunity to receive their daily dose of national and international news at an earlier time and also the chance to listen and interact with Sean Hannity LIVE.

Following the Mitch Albom Show Tuesday thru Friday, WJR’s award winning news department will bring you “The Big Story”. Hosted by WJR’s Lloyd Jackson from 7-8 p.m., this hour long segment will recap top stories from the day as well as important interviews heard on WJR.

Dr. Laura will fill the 8-11 p.m. time slot, followed by a new voice to WJR, Mark Levin from 11 p.m.-1 a.m. You may have heard Levin before as he is a frequent guest and substitute host on the Hannity show. Levin is one of America’s preeminent conservative commentators and constitutional lawyers and has become a favorite to thousands of radio listeners in the New York City area. We look forward to bringing him to WJR and the Detroit community.

So, to recap, effective Monday, January 9th the WJR programming line up will be as follows:

5:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. The Paul W. Smith Show

9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The Frank Beckmann Show

11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Paul Harvey / WJR News

12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Rush Limbaugh

3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sean Hannity

5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Mitch Albom

7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday Sports Albom (Monday)

7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The Big Story (Tuesday - Friday)

Now I won't necessarily have to turn the radio off at 3:00.

Here in Kansas City, we get Laura Ingraham sometime around midnight on 980 KMBZ. At 9 - when she would be broadcasting - we have this horrid woman whose primary job is to get through as many calls as she can in an hour.

We used to have a pretty cool guy named Jerry Agar, but they moved him to drive time because he was so good. Now Ms. Suck keeps my radio tuned to sports radio and sometimes I miss the intro to Rush. Blah!
