This monthly thread is dedicated to Freepers who also enjoy online gaming.
Post here to find fellow gamers, arrange online games, or share screen shots, reviews, helps and tips.
Separate Ping lists are created and maintained for each game.
Official game site links are available for most games listed.
We currently have 92 gamers playing over 95 different games.

Well, here it is... The new thread format. I hope you all like it.
However, I do need some help getting it completed.
Format Changes:
1. New Logo: Suggestions are welcome... Please let me know if you have a better idea for the motto.
2. New thread frequency is now monthly, with gamer table updates on the fly as needed.
All tables are now housed on my profile page with direct links to them in the thread,
so the only time a new thread will be needed is when several new games have been added.
Yes, its an extra click for you, but I think its worth having more timely table updates.
3. Pinging frequency: A global ping will be sent monthly relaying traditional info.
Weekly pings (if warranted) will be sent to only those gamers affected by ongoing changes
relevant to their games listed. (i.e. new gamers have been added to game x ping list)
4. Game Site Links added: Please check the gamesite links and let me know of any changes that are needed.
5. Sequels and Expansion Packs: Some games with sequels/expansions were previously combined to minimize thread clutter
such as Call of Duty, City of Heroes/Villians, Diablo/D2, Medal of Honor, etc. With this format, it is no longer an issue.
I have already tried to segregate players as best I could, but I need your help to refine it and bring it up to date.
Please check your listings, and let me know if I need to add or remove you to/from a sequel or expansion table.
6. Voice Servers: I have found that voice does add a lot to online gaming, so I've added a new
column to the game tables specifically for voice server info.
Please let me know if you have any public voice servers you would like listed.
7. Because we are now a monthly thread, our exposure is reduced. This makes ping referrals even more important.
Hopefully, these upgrades will make the thread more attractive, but we still need to keep getting the word out.

The official site is www.counter-strike.net which covers both games. However if you want images, you will probably just have to do a google image search.
CSS is more popular among n00bs, but professionally, 1.6 is not going anywhere. Nor does it need any marketing, because it has the most loyal game fanbase ever.

No, Its MW4 Mercs with 3 free patches by Mektek. New mechs, new maps, new weaps. MWL has league ladders for standard Team Battle foramts, as well as No Heat/Unlimited Ammo, King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, Rugby, Solaris Duels, and is just starting up another Planetary League cycle. League has been around for 3 years now. 60+ teams. Pretty cool. Also supports a BF1942 League.

BTW, are their any mods out based on Master of Orion 2? I hear MOO3 bombed out, would like to go back to M002, but can't get it to work under WinXP [and I've already tried all the "fixes"]

Bacon Man told me last week not to pre-order Oblivion, since he got it for me for my birthday!
I bet you can add him to Oblivion too, since he might have ordered one for himself as well. But perhaps a ping is in order to confirm. :)
Still on Guild Wars. They had an awesome Christmas theme. Snowballs fights and all. Chapter 2 comes out in April. :D

Now I remember why I got frustrated with MW. They need to make the installation and patching process a little more user friendly.

You may have to register to become a member before you can access the DL link. But yeah, all the patches are a pain to DL, but its worth it if you're a mech jock.

Then, as everyone on the ping list gets the word out about this thread, it becomes well known enough in freeper land that anytime someone asks in other threads "anyone here play so and so game???", they will be quickly referred to here... maybe even by non-gamers.

Technically, Civ1 and Civ2 preceded Alpha Centauri, but who's counting? I couldn't get into AC. I tried, but something was just missing. I adore Civ2 and MOO2. Maybe I'm odd.
