BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — The "gay cowboy movie" "Brokeback Mountain" led the Golden Globes Monday night with four prizes, including best dramatic film and the directing honor for Ang Lee. As expected, it was a triumphant night for films dealing with homosexuality and transsexuality. Along with the victories for "Brokeback Mountain," acting honors went to Felicity Huffman in a gender-bending role as a man preparing for sex-change surgery in "Transamerica" and Philip Seymour Hoffman as gay author Truman Capote in "Capote." "I know as actors our job is usually to shed our skins, but I think as people our job is to become who we really are, and so I would like to salute the men and women who brave ostracism, alienation and a life lived on the margins to become who they really are," Huffman said.

I will not go to another movie until Hollywood changes.

He's talking about Conservative actors in Hollywood? Or men who boink sheep?

I see several movies per week, but vow today that my movie viewing days are over. I refuse to give money to Hollywood after last night's mess. We control the money, it is now tome to show them...

I've said it before: In Frank Capra's day, Hollywood was just as dirty, but they knew who paid the bills and had the stars under their thumbs. "Press agents" went around and made sure that if Agnes Moorehead was a lesbian, you didn't hear about it. They produced Biblical epics because that sold in the Midwest, and the movie business then was a business, all about making what people wanted to buy.

Today? It's all about impressing your peers in the little pocket Hell called Hollywood. And they wonder why receipts are going down...down...down.

No, just go see the decent ones. Hollywood knows one thing, the bottom line. When movies like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe make a killing and the crap like this are a bust, they will begin to correlate the two eventually. Support those who make decent films and boycott those who don't, it will get through to them eventually.

Why Endora, I would have never suspected it of you.

Brokedick Mountain, queers and steers / fags on horses.

and

The Palestinian film "Paradise Now," a dark tale of two Arab friends tapped to carry out a suicide bombing in Israel, won the prize for foreign-language film that glamourises and sympathizes with terrorists.

The awards are meaningless. I don't think Narnia got anything but has out-grossed Broke Back by $230,000,000 and both have been out 6 weeks.

Keep your teenagers from spending money at the boxoffice and you'll be more effective. Much of the Follywood slop is aimed at the youth market, though somehow I can't imagine too many straight eighteen-year-olds wanting to see "Homos on the Range."

Oddly patronizing, the Paradise movie. Would Hollowwood have ever come within a hundred miles of a story regarding a CHRISTIAN Paradise?

I think you are mistaken. Hollywood would rather push their warped agenda and reflect their corrupt values than make wholesome, family oriented movies. Even if they are profitable. Look at the stink they made about, "The Passion of the Christ".

Look at the success of FoxNews. They are the only cable news channel gaining viewers, yet instead of emulating their right of center viewpoint, all three networks and the other cable news channels continue with the liberal bias.

I agree with you. Look how HW has changed family-tv. Take a look at the crap that is on every night of the week. Think HW does not have an agenda? Even the commercials have pushed over the line.

Hollywoods sweet smell of success, smells more of rump wranglers and their stinky habits.

I will only go to movies that do not offend my sensibilities.

Wanna see a real cowboy movie, try "Open Range" or "Unforgiven"

So, no more watching on cable or renting DVDs either? They get a cut from all of that, of course.

Friend of mine was an investigator for a district attorney's office. He had to interview a pervert who had been having sex with a pig. The quote is his response to my friend 'being funny'.

"No. I’m not funny when I try to be. Seems I get better results just trying to talk normal. Of course, there were a few times in court I had the judge with his head down and shoulders shaking. Now one that was a bit funny, was my tape statement about asking the pig f****r if he knew if the "Pig In Question" was a male or female. Of course, he got real offended that I might even suggest that he would have sex with a MALE pig. Didn't want anyone to think he was a perverted, homosexual pig porker! Oh heavens No...thought never crossed my mind.

They edit my tape statements now. Hmmmm .."
