Spielberg never stated specifically in the movie that Avner was still in NY.
My wife just noticed this and told me, half-way through. I've been watching bits and pieces since.
Thankfully, it is being reshown at 2 AM. VCR has been set and we plan to watch together, then share with friends who have seen the Spielberg mock-u-mentary.
This is disingenuous and a distortion of the truth to fit Spielberg's agenda.
nice how he "left out" a detail that he easily could have mentioned in the final credits/epilogue.
we always knew he was a communist (well, not when it comes to redistributing the millions he makes from his films) but at least he did a good job with WWII and private ryan. the latest job smacks of moralizing, which is probably why it is not the box office blockbuster that was expected.
people want black and white movies. they want the good guys to win and the bad guys to die. if spielberg had stuck to this formula (and the truth) he would be raking it in. but better to appease his leftie buddies who love the palestinians.
whaddya bet vanessa redgrave will be starring in his next flick?
It wasn't obvious to me. That's just where he decided to end the movie.
How convenient for Speilberg's agenda, although it didn't happen that way.
