Any fans of Discovery Channels 'Storm Chasers' on here? I really enjoyed last season, and this season has been a blast so far. The scientists and filmmakers are a really interesting group of people.

(May 6, 2008) -- The Discovery Channel next month will air a documentary series featuring restored, high-def video of classic footage from NASA's Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space missions. I love "Mythbusters." It's fun, charming, full of personality, very scientific, and a great way to learn about science. So now the Discovery Channel has made a new show called "Smash Lab." It's an obvious attempt at ripping off Mythbusters. However, it fails in every way possible. The characters have no personality. The show has no sense of fun, wonder, or amazement. It's absolutely horrible, in every way imaginable.

Last Friday evening, the Discovery Channel ran a documentary on Saddam that includes events into this century. I believe it was either produced or co-produced by The New York Times Television and included mid-east expert and journalist, Judith Miller and others. It is a chilling account of Saddam's rise to power as well as his son Ouday's quest to become "heir to the throne" (as evil as Saddam is, I believe his son is worse).
