He was also great as Eddie in "The Reservoir Dogs", he was the son of the groups leader who died in the mexican standoff in the end.

The guy did a lot of movies. First time I saw him was in " At Close Range" with his brother Sean and Christopher Walken.
That was a pretty good movie based on a true story out of PA.
He was very thin then. Not sure what happened to him along the way but 40 is too young to die of natural causes.
To: Mr. Brightside
I liked him in the movies...this is too bad.

I didn't know he existed, until now Until now, I forgot he existed.
It's the same with all the Penns; they're so irrelevant

Pale Rider, At Close Range, True Romance, Reservoir Dogs.
A pretty busy character actor, did some narration for documentaries and video games also.
Always a reliable tough guy - sad.

One's first thought is "drugs", but after seeing his picture I think it may be "heart attack".

I thought he was very good in "At Close Range".
God rest his soul and comfort the Penn family during this tragedy.

Ah, yes.
Pale Rider. I was trying to remember the role where he was a cowboy.

The Penns are typical of the current state of Hollywood. Daddy had a job directing TV shows 40 years ago, so now we have to be saddled with the whole talentless family.
There was a time where the people who made it in show business were genuinely talented, extraordinary people. You paid to watch them because they made it worthwhile. But nowadays everybody is somebody's kid, or belongs to the same Kaballah ring or Scientology coven, and there is nothing extraordinary about them.
If I am going to look at a bunch of ordinary people, I'll deal with the people at my job, my neighborhood or my church. They're in Sense-Surrond 3D Hi-Rez Super-Wide-Screen format, and they're free!

I always did like him a lot better than his brother, and I mean on the screen. He seemed to have the brains of the two, but unfortunately his brother made it big.
