Anaheim, Calif. – On February 10, 2006, Tiger Woods will be joined by former President Bill Clinton, Southern California students, teachers and community leaders for the dedication of the Tiger Woods Learning Center (TWLC), an innovative youth-education facility located in Anaheim, California.

The much anticipated event serves as the culmination of a four-year, $25 million campaign to transform Woods’ dream of creating an educational center to inspire and support the career exploration of students.

The celebration begins with a dedication ceremony at noon featuring remarks from Woods, Clinton, and local officials, and will culminate in tours of the facility.

The two-story, 35,000-square-foot center will provide 4th-12th grade students with critically important free interactive enrichment programs in reading, math, science and technology. Specific classes promote career exploration and preparation in areas including forensic science, engineering, aerospace, video production and home design.

“My goal for the TWLC is to provide students with a place to explore their dreams and open doors to new opportunities and potential career paths,” Woods said. “This is their center, and I hope it serves as a launching pad to great success.”

Working closely with the school districts in the region, the full-time staff of educators has developed a series of programs that will augment their current school curriculum. In the first year alone, it is estimated that 3,000 students will take advantage of the TWLC and its resources.

This 14-acre campus was designed to provide students with access to the most interactive, technologically advanced equipment and curriculum. Each element of the TWLC will immerse students in a dynamic learning environment.

I've always admired Tiger and his military vet Dad's journey. I'm frankly surprised at this connection with BJC.

I agree. BJC loves to attach himself to anything good to keep the media spotlight on him. Too bad the Republicans don't take a look at the people like Tiger Woods and bring on. This would have been perfect for First Lady Laura Bush.

Did Clinton chip in for this center? Why in the hell is he even there?

How I despise that man.

Sure, I can fix you up with Elin, no problem, Bill.

My spies tell me former president Bill Clinton was caught in a number of bad lies Thursday. But it's not what you think. Clinton played golf with Tiger Woods at Shady Canyon Golf Club in Irvine, on the day before he spoke at Friday's dedication ceremony of the Tiger Woods Learning Center in Anaheim. OC Register
