Sheep-herding fags are not cowboys -
They are also not the first to take a shot at the queer cowboy - Midnight Cowboy.
However even as the song goes "I see by your outfit that you must be a cowboy" does not always apply - and because some fudge packing candy ass ferry dresses like a cowboy it don't make him a cowboy.
What exactly did we expect from the sh-t hole Jollywood? The best thing we can do is not see it.

But back to the Duke and the men we used to see on the silver screen. When we saw these heroes, we knew what to expect: men depicting fictive or real historical characters who knew right from wrong. They overcame their human flaws. The good guys won.
Sadly, Brokeback Mountain conscripts that rich tradition of morally compelling chronicles to serve a destructive, anti-Christian ideology and the cultural and political elites that propagate it. In the end, they will fail because good will vanquish evil. But the fight will be a long trail of tears.

Question is, why cowboys?
Ummm...they weren't cowboys, they were sheepherders...
Any decent cowboy tells stories about sheep herders and sheep...
Besides, sex between men without other ways to relieve sexual tension is NOT the same as homosexual sex...THAT is the dirty little secret...that these guys were bisexual, and that the story was fiction...

By the mere fact that Hollywood gushes that "BM" is "a blockbuster" should immediately dismiss "Hollywood" as being the land of not only nonsense that it is but outright propoganda that many withhold rightly naming it as.
"BM" is no more "blockbuster" than "Howard the Duck" was.
Let's see...for a whole year homosexuals were SURE that white orchids were just the thing and that "no home is complete without them!" I think "BM" is about the same degree of nonsense.

Bernard assures us that "the closest Ennis gets to acknowledging his feelings is when he doubles over and wretches," which begs the question of what real "primal need," when satisfied, makes a man wretch. Maybe this is the gay equivalent to smoking a cigarette...?

"brief, violent, loveless episode of half-naked wrestling and fistfights." One also wonders how fistfights and half-naked wrestling amount to a "tender moment."
In other more rational words, rape! It's NOT about love! And no mention of the sin of adultery either, or of betrayal or selfishness. No what about the kids, what about the wife.
This is NOT about the "cowboy way" It's yet another attempt to packaging sodomy into a pretty package with a glittery bow. And it falls poorly short.
Proponents of this movie have asked folks who won't go see it, "what do you think is going to happen to you if you go see this movie"? As if that has anything to do with it. Who, as a rational, or even semi rational person, would pay money to see a movie that even makes one of the stars hurl?? Last time I checked, movie going is for entertainment. People will go to movies they want to see, for entertainment value. This garbage does not qualify. Nor for that matter does most of what hollywood puts out these days.

Oh, give me a home where the drag queens roam
Where the queers and the deviants play
Where seldom is heard a heterosexual word
And the guys are now horny all day
Homo, homo on the range
Where the queers and the deviants play
Where seldom is heard a heterosexual word
And the guys are now horny all day

"Because these are not equated with raw masculinity" And homosexuals are not. It is an obvious ploy.
There is nothing redeeming or romantic to me about the film, quite the contrary, and I wouldn't go to see it if you paid me.

The article is interesting, I'll grant you that.
But Brokeback Mountain remains one of the best films I've seen in years.
